Guest speaker: Journalist Yvonne Ridley on war in Iran/Middle East and journalism
Dear members,
Due to technical problems our AGM has had to be rescheduled – now on 20 April and as well as our guest speaker, we will have Hula Elmi, the NUJ organiser for Magazines, Books and Wales, in attendance. Please make every effort to attend our hybrid AGM – it is your union! Hear reports from the last year and the challenges and opportunities ahead to build magazine membership and activity.
Before we start the formal AGM business we will have a speaker on the Iran war and journalists. Yvonne Ridley is a veteran journalist covering wars and conflict, including in the Middle East (for more background information: About Yvonne – Yvonne Ridley)
Reports of the last year will be given by the Chair, Membership secretary, and Treasurer and elections of a new committee.
