NUJ London Magazine Branch Meeting – September 2024

Dear London Magazine Branch Member,
There is much to talk about campaigns for better terms and conditions in the magazine sector. Join us at this month’s meeting to discuss this and more issues affecting our union and members ahead of next April’s Delegate Meeting (the NUJ’s biennial national congress). We encourage LMB members to put forward ideas and speakers for future meetings on issues affecting our industry, media workers, as well as national and international trade union matters, including what the new UK government can bring, the cost-of-living crisis, the ongoing wars in Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, etc, the climate crisis, and more.
You should have received or will soon receive ballot papers for the election of the NUJ’s new general secretary: we encourage all members to vote and have a say in who will be the next leader of our union. Please join our branch meeting on 30 September, either on Zoom or, even better, in person, so we can thrash out the way forward for the branch, topics for future meetings and what policies we want to take to April’s Delegate Meeting. RSVP is not necessary but is helpful if you are attending in person to get enough refreshments for everybody.
