NUJ London Magazine Branch Meeting – October 2024

14th October 2024 By Nika Talbot

Date and time: Monday 21 October 2024, 6.30pm

Location: Hybrid: NUJ, Headland House (72 Acton St, London WC1X 9NB) and online (Zoom link emailed).

This month’s meeting will be focused on drafting motions for next year’s Delegate Meeting, also known as DM, the NUJ’s biennial national congress.

The NUJ is a democratic union and all members can influence policy – come along to share ideas for motions. Don’t worry if you haven’t done this before, branch committee members will be there to explain how the process works and advise on the wording. The final draft motions will be proposed at November’s meeting ahead of the motions’ submission deadline on 27 November.

If you are interested in joining DM as a branch delegate or putting your nomination forward to any of the NUJ councils and committees, come along as well.

As always, RSVP for the branch meeting is not necessary but it’s helpful if you are attending in person to get enough refreshments for everybody.

Please note that the meeting room is on the first floor and the lift is currently out of order.

We look forward to seeing you!

About London Magazine Branch

Branches are where members can regularly have their say on the union’s policies and activities. It is the branches rather than the chapels (workplace groups) that elect delegates and send motions to the union’s annual conference. Read more
